Reason #14875448 why Vancouver is awesome? All the local talents! A while back, i came across this beautiful clothing line called Mortar & Pestle, and I just had to tell you guys about it.
Mortar & Pestle was launched in March 2011 by the talented Jill Zdunich after she finished her Fashion Design program at Blanche MacDonald.
"I knew that I wanted to launch my own line right away after school, so I did! It's been a serious roller coaster of mistakes, wins, personal feats overcome, road blocks (financial and emotional)....but I'm still here!
Right now, I'm the sole designer behind m&p and do 90% of all the work-- from initial design illustrations, to pattern drafting, pattern grading, fabric sourcing, cutting, sample sewing and I share the production sewing with a seamstress. It's a lot to juggle!" Jill said.
