Oscars 2013 - Best Dressed

Amy Adams

Amy Adams shined in an Oscar de la Renta gown that is one of the best examples of couture on the red carpet. Lovely details that are bold enough that it won't go unnoticed.
Amy Adams has never been a risk-taker - style-wise - but this gown was a great choice.
Kind of reminds me of the stunning mille-feuille Versace from Carrie Bradshaw's swan-song episode.

Jane Fonda

The shining, bright-yellow Versace Atelier gown has a definitive '80s vibe (are those shoulder pads?), but that's more than acceptable. In fact, it's wonderful. As cliché as it is to call her a ray of sunshine, but I can't find another way to put it. Ladies, this is a reminder that there's no excuse for dressing down when it comes to the biggest night of the year.

Charlize Theron

This is my favorite gown this year.
Charlize Theron could wear a garbage bag and I'd still think she looked breathtaking. The graceful and gorgeous Theron wore a clean, white Dior Haute Couture floor-length gown with a peplum waist. The only accessories Theron added were two sparkling bracelets - fitting, since her short hair and crisp neckline lent itself to minimalistic perfection.

It's a Small Crime, and I've Got No Excuse

9 Crimes By Identity

Identity just announced the release of its brand '9 Crimes.' The three talented designers, Sandra Rizk, Sandra Issa, and Huda Elmofty, joined forces to create their first collection "Innocence Lost." The collection consists embellished vintage pieces, creating art out of dull items. Where did the name comes from? It was inspired by Damien Rice's song '9 Crimes.'

"Since we are only making one piece of each, here comes the relation to our brand where the song is addressing a person in love with another yet they can't be, simply because one of them is taken. Just like that our one off item pieces can be loved by many and only owned by one."

Kurt Geiger's Spring

With snow almost everywhere now (everywhere except Egypt. We have what? a week of winter?), everyone is desperate for spring. Personally, I will miss winter clothes. I love wearing layers.

Kurt Geiger kicked off the spring collection with sport influences, metallics and shades of blue worked into a fresh new take on sports luxe. Seems like getting dressed this spring is going to be a lot of fun :) (oh wait, getting dressed is fun, no matter what season it is.)
