Stella McCartney Fall 2017

Stella McCartney introduced quite a hybrid collection for the Autumn Winter 2017 season that exuded power and elegance. The collection was versatile and wearable, offering women some transitional style solutions.
McCartney articulated her social message through her designs without slogans or sacrificing a tiny bit of her signature practical chic. “Faith and love inspire the collection,” McCartney said after the show. “I want to reflect the good in people within my work. My message is clear. I want to bring people together in what I do, and politics, of course, are part of that.”
The collection portrayed a pictorial of “A Horse Frightened by a Lion,” by 18th-century painter George Stubbs, with the inclusion of animal motifs. A Balmoral-esque quilted coat was paired back to wide legged, wool trousers, producing a dynamic portrayal of styling. Paper bag overalls and sweaters directed toward a casual aesthetic.
As she has built joie de vivre into her brand DNA, it only made sense that she’s reprise the hit karaoke dance party from last season at the show. This time, the models paraded to George Michael’s “Faith”, “All You Need Is Love” by her dad, Paul McCartney and The Beatles, and “Brujas” by Princess Nokia.

On Sofia Carson: Monique Lhuillier ball gown.

On Felicity Jones: Dior dress; Christian Louboutin shoes; Niwaka jewelry.

On Isabelle Huppert: Armani Privé dress.

For the love of midi skirts

It seems like spring is really just around the corner. With the perfect weather these days, midi skirts are the go-to for a chic and versatile outfit. Wear them casually with a pair of sneakers or dress them up with a pair of heels, these can go from office to night-out with just the right accessories.
