“The clothes reflect the same feminine aesthetic of my ready-to-wear,” Wu, whose collection is available in stores and at target.com on February 5, told me. “You’ll be seeing silhouettes that are nipped at the waist to accentuate a woman’s form.” His inspiration? “French new-wave films. I wanted the collection to have a sophisticated voice with an American sportswear spin.”
