Got some arm party?

One of my all-time favorite fashion terms is "arm party." What does it mean? In a nutshell, an arm party is all about layering your wrist(s) with different combinations of bracelets, bangles and decorative elastics.. and of course friendship bracelets.

I remember going through that phase of desperately trying to make friendship bracelets (I usually ended up with funny-looking knots)

Now you can easily get some lovely colorful arm party worthy bracelets thanks to Zeina Tantawy. Thanks to Zephyr, you can get the bracelets you want in the colors of your choice. I already ordered two and I can't wait to wear them :)

Galliano Gets a Second Chance

John Galliano, the fashion genius whose career collapsed when he made anti-Semitic insults in a Paris bar two years ago, has been thrown a lifeline by fellow designer Oscar de la Renta.

Women’s Wear Daily, a fashion industry newspaper, announced on Friday that de la Renta had invited Galliano to emerge from the shadows and work with him for three weeks in his New York studio.

“John and I have known each other for many years and I am a great admirer of his talent,” de la Renta said.

“He has worked long and hard on his recovery and I am happy to give him the opportunity to reimmerse himself in the world of fashion and reacclimate in an environment where he has been so creative.”

“Everyone in life deserves a second chance,” de la Renta said. “I think that life is about forgiving and helping people.” De la Renta did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

British-born Galliano was the superstar designer at Christian Dior when he was shamed over his public outburst, in which he professed his love for Adolf Hitler. He was fired by Dior and last year in France was convicted of anti-Semitism and fined. Galliano has said he is alcoholic and has been seeking treatment since his downfall.

7 For All Mankind Now in Cairo

Cairo's fashionistas have been buzzing about this for the past few weeks, Cairo's first flagship store for 7 For All Mankind. The world's premium denim brand opened a new store just off of Lebanon Street in Mohandessin.

The 100-square-meter boutique is the third biggest store in the Middle East after Lebanon and Qatar.

The 7 For All Mankind denim collection is displayed on the signature denim wall that can be found in every flagship store. In addition, the newly-introduced ready-to-wear collection for both men and women is accompanied by the new accessories range for the ultimate 7 For All Mankind head-to-toe look.

"We're thrilled that our customers can now enjoy our full collection and get the chance to access 7 For All mankind shopping experience," said Hoda Hosny, marketing manager.

The branch appears to have a good range of styles, cuts, colors and sizes. The women's section is almost twice as big as the men's though. The fall/winter 2012/2013 collection is now on display, mostly in ordinary denim shades, and a few exceptions.

Cairo residents, no more excuses for wearing bad-fitting jeans. Now you can get yourself some nice flattering jeans.

Emerald - Color of the Year

I hope you've had enough of Tangerine Tango (I wasn't such a big fan of it to be honest) because it's time to make way for 2013's color of the year - Emerald.

According to Pantone, Emerald is "Lively. Radiant. Lush...a color of elegance and beauty that enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony."

Time for some color therapy and adding Emerald to your wardrobe! Here are some easy ways to do that

Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2013

French fashion house Louis Vuitton introduced a women's pre-fall 2013 collection. Designer Julie de Libran was inspired by the movie 'New Wave' directed by Francois Truffaut. The collection is sixties inspired, with square jackets, dresses in satin-like lace, and bulky coats. Julie de Libran paid attention to the accessories, adding femininity with neat leather handbags and elegant pumps with velvet bows and bold jewelry adding drama. The collection definitely makes you think of French cinema in the 20th century.
